How To Make Twitter Stream New Tweets Automatically

Sometimes I’m following an active Twitter conversation, and I don’t want to keep clicking the “N new Tweets” bar. I just want Twitter to update the stream automatically.

I wrote a small user script to do the work for me.

To use it yourself in Chrome:

1. Download the user script.
2. When Chrome prompts for your authorization, click Continue followed by Add.
3. Reload Twitter

As an aside, I’m impressed how easy it was to make the screencast in this post with Camtasia for Mac.
